Courses

Initially the courses were only available in London and then Suffolk, but more and more people wanted to be taught at home  or in their own workplace. Many people wishing to start a flower business or gain further knowledge with flowers have children, animals or commitments that make being away from home impossible or very costly. It was this factor that made Michael change the way he taught, he would go to you. All your tutoring is one on one, it’s taught in your own home, work space, tack room or a good sized kitchen & on a time basis to suit you.

He has recently trained staff for Waitrose and if like them you’d like to build confidence with your designs and have the best dressed table in town, why not give it a try?

Now into the seventh year of professional training Michael has proved that the same look can be achieved across the country. If the course is not in London, Michael will introduce you to your best wholesalers that cover your area. If you are taking a day course he will recommend the best florist in your area to get your flowers from.

For clients undertaking the 80 hour course the following services are offered.

  1. Using his list of suppliers he will organise the delivery of flowers to your door or arrange for a pick up at a wholesalers near to you.

  2. An introduction to local suppliers or sundries companies, thus breaking down that initial trade barrier we all fear.

  3. A written or verbal reference for all students providing proof of business such as a business bank account or professional website after the course

  4. Photographs of your work are put on the flowerschool site. You are issued a user name and password and can download them once they have been put on the site. They can be used with his permission for your website. The copyright remains that of Michael Pooley and if suitable your work may appear on the flower school website.

  5. No two courses are the same. Thus making your portfolio unique to you
